Who Nokian are
Nokian Tyres is Finnish, based in the town of Nokia, and has made tyres there since the 1930s. It has been a separate listed company since 1988 and is quoted on the Helsinki exchange; it is not part of a larger tyre group, which among mid-market brands is now unusual.
Nokian has a long history in winter tyre development, including its Hakkapeliitta range. Its passenger range also includes summer and all-season tyres.
Nokian exited its Russian manufacturing operation following 2022. Its production network now includes Finland, Tennessee and Romania.
Nokian also manufactures forestry, agricultural and industrial tyres in Finland. These are outside our standing stock; contact the sales team to discuss a specialist requirement before ordering.
